 Overview

Nomad Archipelago

THE PERFECT INDONESIAN LIVEABOARD BOAT FOR ECO-CONSCIOUS TRAVELERS

Our boats are really quiet because it is always better to listen to the sound of the sea instead of the noise of the engines. Our-27 meter Indonesian wooden liveaboard yacht, the Bugis, has been built and designed for sustainability and her guests’ utmost comfort, safety, and fun. She is equipped with 4 sizable cabins, accommodating up to 8 guests, perfect for a small group of friends and family! With a crew of 9 which is more than a 1:1 guest-to-crew ratio, you are guaranteed a top notch service while aboard the Bugis.

We will be exploring Indonesia’s top cruise destinations, from the renowned Komodo Islands, the remote and untouched Flores Sea and Wakatobi National Park, and the lesser known Banggai Archipelago–home to the Bajau people a.k.a "Sea Nomads"

Hop aboard the Bugis and prepare yourself for an adventure of a lifetime!

LOW CARBON, LESS GENERATOR, LESS NOISE

We strive to keep our carbon and ecological footprint as low as possible by using solar powered electricity as much as we can when the boat is not navigating.

We'll only turn on the generator when needed so expect a serene ambiance aboard, peaceful sunset drinks, and quiet nights with the sounds of crashing waves to the hull. Check out Our Concept page to learn more about our commitment to sustainability.

WHY WE OPTED FOR NON AIR CONDITIONED CABINS?

Our 4 cabins on the boat are located on the main deck, not below deck. The sea breeze keeps the median temperature on board approximately 3 degrees Celsius cooler than on land. Our Boat's acrhitectural concept prioritizes open areas, allowing guests to connect with the elements. Air-conditioned cabins, in contrast to fan-cooled ones, require quilts, closed doors, and windows, which we find unusual for enjoying the tropics.

Additionally, air-conditioners rely on refrigerant gas and extra fuel from the generator, which contracdicts our commitment to the environment.

ABOARD - CONVENIENCE ACCESS

The boat is designed for guest convenience with three access points for the speedboat: a platform at the back and access from both the left and right sides of the boat for easy boarding. All guest cabins are located on the first deck, directly connected to the restaurant, which features a staircase leading to the upper deck. This layout maximizes comfort and ensures a seamless experience throughout the cruise.

 Cabins

Nomad Archipelago logo

The Bajau liveaboard offers two cabin options: two triple cabins and two double twin cabins, all equipped with en-suite bathrooms, providing cozy comfort for our guests. The twin cabins feature two single beds stacked one above the other.

Each triple cabin accommodates two guests, either sharing a double bed or utilizing the upper berth, which is also suitable for a child traveling with family. The windows provide sea view and fresh air. Due to this natural ventilation the cabin doesn’t require air conditioning.

Please note : that the Bajau does not have any air conditioning onboard. Our cabins however are very well-insulated and designed to get plenty of natural light and cooling from its large window.
