Our Off-Grid Exploration Captured on Film
We’re excited and proud to share a short film that immerses you in the Nomad Archipelago experience.
Filmed during one of our off-grid Discovery Cruises, the piece captures these exploratory voyages where we navigate volcanic islands, ancient trade routes, and pristine coral reefs that rarely see visitors, and our spirit of exploration truly comes to life.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Craig Leeson and filmed and edited by award-winning cinematographer Tom Park, the film brings professional storytelling and stunning visuals to this journey.
The result is an authentic look at what makes a Nomad Archipelago trip so special—and we invite you to experience it.
Discovery Meets Conservation at Sea
The film also highlights how our voyages combine exploration with marine research and conservation. During the cruise, guests became citizen scientists by helping collect water samples for eDNA analysis—contributing to real scientific understanding of these remote ecosystems.
Guests and crew also worked together to remove damaging ghost nets from coral reefs, helping protect the vibrant marine life we encounter.
For those drawn to this blend of wildlife, conservation, and community involvement, we’re offering our upcoming Explore the Remote Banggai with Dr. Angie Brathwaite cruise in November 2026.
